Anyone know a good source for decent work benches? I have a 12 foot wall that would be perfect for a good modelling / RC / electronics work space.

Already looked at Draper etc.

I used a couple of kitchen base units with a kitchen worktop across them, leaving a knee gap between them. Cheap and very strong.

I've just fitted a kitchen worktop in my garage, I batoned the wall and got 3 legs for the front, 3m and very sturdy.

When we replaced our kitchen worktop and units I won about 8 feet of part worn worktop wink

Bought some cheap kitchen units from MFI and suspended the worktop between a pair of units across the window

Added a tall larder unit and a four drawer unit

Ten bookshelves on any exposed wall space

Fifty zillion books and whizzo, here I am 'at home'

I sometimes do a bit of model making...
