I have 2 original Blackfoots:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamiya_Blackfoot

They have not been modified in any way as such still have the drain train issues.

(not my pic, just so you know what it looks like)

Usual damage on it that a kid can create, but I now have a friend of my mothers sniffing around and if the price is right (he wanted to take it off their hands for peanuts) I know its worth something, but what could it be worth.

Obviously the battery is toast and it comes with a remote, but I guess that is worth nothing, but as a model alone what would it be worth?

If it's as clean and tidy as the pictured one, possibly a fair bit...

My first r/c Tamiya car was one of these, provided many hours of fun. I've no idea on cost I'm afraid. I sold mine sometime around 1990 iirc.

It should be as clean and tidy as it was quite an investment my folks made back then to buy it, so it was always kept clean... Its only got a bit of dust from being kept in the cupboard with a cover over it.

Will double check next time Im at my folks as its quite the sizeable beast and want to make sure its in good condition mechanically before I start trying to get rid.

Around the £80-100 mark if it is in good condition. These things are (sadly) worth more unassembled in their original boxes.

It could be worth slightly more if it is absolutely mint (I mean no scratches, flawless paint / decal accuracy, no obvious signs of having been run) and if it includes a period correct radio system.

You may get more on eBay if you advertise well, but I'm just being honest as to what a collector would be looking to pay for it. Pictures would help valuation much more - it's also often picture quality which sells a model too.
