Dear all, been salivating over some models from this maker, not cheap, but seem very high quality.

Anybody any experience of them, any observations they would like to make regarding this make, places to purchase from?

Nobody any observations regarding this model maker? Just info on Carbone itself, or even any info on any others who make hand built models would be of help.

At £285 for a 1:43 model, I doubt if there'll be many takers (though I have seen MUCH more expensive hand-builts).
Grand Prix Models say:-
"High quality resin & metal hand built models, usually of very rare coachbuilt machines on exotic chassis. Excellent level of finish puts them among the best 1:43 miniatures available. Presentation also very smart, usually with a wooden edged and leatherette insert to the display base. Production numbers in this series usually only in double figures. "

With respect. A link would be helpful if you want an opinion. I have tried several variations on the manufacturer you mention, but can’t find anything using google.
HTH.

Here we go. https://www.grandprixmodels.com/Search.aspx?select...

I did not post a link previously, as I mistakenly thought they were well known. They certainly come across as being very high quality and some of the ubjects being very exotic, and thus their appeal, on face value to me . I would very likely be interested in forming a small collection of them , it would just be good to get opinions from anyone familar with the models other than vendors of such. Partly because, of course being their cost. Not Amalgam by any stretch of the imagination, but certainly not small change either. Cheers

Grand Prix Models are usually very objective in their reviews. Though at almost £300 a time I can appreciate why you'd like to see one first or get a second opinion.

They look ace. A bit pricey though.
