I'm just completing the Occre 'Adler': https://www.hobbies.co.uk/occre-adler-steam-train-...

After making a series of wooden ship kits it was a refreshing change to try something different and constructed in a different way.

Occre do make a display base but I fancy making my own. Is it possible to buy 1/24 scale rails?

That should mean any LGB scale garden railway track should suit.

Thanks - I didn't know such a thing existed.

I'm looking for just the rails, like this but I only need 1m: https://www.makeitbuildit.co.uk/lgb-rail-sections-...

Surely you need enough for a lap of the garden... At the very least a lap of the house hehe

Ah, this is a static model, so it only needs enough to stand on smile

Looks a nice model. I went to the DB 150 celebrations in 1985 and saw the replica Adler running.

If the wheels turn, surely it could be being invisibly pushed via a sneaky electric motor in a goods van smile
