Christmas present 1978 I think. Still seems to work OK but not ideal for newer N-gauge engines so I'll be replacing it.

Yeah I have a Duette too, will be keeping that.

I’ve got a pair of Duettes in the shed, must be getting on for 30years since they powered a train set but they occasionally get pressed into service powering some very elderly Lego motors (70s or early 80s at a guess)…
