FTX Tracer alternatives

My 6 year old has loved his FTX Tracer over the last year of ownership…. but he’s now keen for a new RC car, and I wondered if anyone could recommend a similar entry level or just above alternative?

He’s keen for a “monster truck” style shape, akin to a Lunchbox, but not sure that’s a good option.

(We’ve found FTX excellent so far, everything we’ve needed to fix has been easy to source / fit)

There’s the Arrma Gorgon. 2wd like a lunchbox, but probably a lot tougher. Can be had as kit or RTR. Might be a bit slow on the stock motor, but doing an upgrade down the line might be a fun project.

The FTX Tracer is a great RC. If you don’t find anything else, I think they can be upgraded to brushless and oil damper which will make a big difference. It’ll still look the same though which may defeat the purpose of a new truck!

As above, the Arrma Gorgon is a brilliant machine. Brushed is fun but brushless is funner Best 150 I've spent in years...
