So as my wife would say I am hard to buy for Xmas.

So this year I have went with - My jet ski is out of the water for a couple of months while I do upgrades so this will fill the void.......Plus the kids will love it.

https://rlaarlo.com/products/carbon-fiber-brushles...

Did quite a bit of research and this was coming out on top bang for buck so to speak, got the bigger battery and some spares for it as well.

Managed to get some discount from the website as well.

Interested to get this out on Christmas.

Kind Regards

38 year old child..... smile

So I set this up and have been running it.

The GPS is giving me 45mph with the new pinion gear fitted.

Bought a load of alloy upgrades for it as well.

It's some machine.

Interesting bit of kit for the money, seem to get really good reviews too. Our support out here in the UAE for the hobby is pretty poor but keep seeing these on Amazon and am tempted!

What are the materials and the build quality like, OP?

This one looks very similar to the Losi Lasernut but significantly cheaper:

Losi:

I owned a Losi Lasernut but sold it because it was too big and fast for the space available to run it. Also it had a hard previous life and I spent three times as long repairing or maintaining it as running it.

My friends got their Mazda 787 speed run car with active aero which is meant to be able to do 200km but it hasn't been run at full speed, it's s shelf queen due to looking so nice.

One thing I'd worry about is parts supply as they are a relatively new and small company, I've got the Arrma 6S and 8S range due to the plentiful parts supply and aftermarket scene.

So

Parts supply - No problems, they have mountains of stock and when you order you get the parts in 7 days.

Support - They have a facebook page with staff from the company on it and respond to every question.

Quality - Very good quality, I went for the carbon version - I am getting 46/47mph out of it, the gyro is fantastic on it. Really nice piece of kit.

I know some of their older stuff wasn't great but so far I am very impressed with it.

I have ordered some spares and upgrades like alloy arms etc and they arrived in 8 days.

Is that 2wd or 4wd?

It's 4wd.

I fitted alloy arms etc to it, hit a fence at 30mph and the bumper took the damage, didn't even mark the shell, it bounced off it. Sturdy that's for sure.

We've got the omni terminator which is basically the same vehicle.

My 7 year old lad has yet to kill despite trying really hard. Its been bashed as hard as my MT10

for the price i've been super impressed- i do think the carbon versions are worth the upgrade.

I'm hoping they might released a carbon roller version of the new buggy they are just releasing.

Worth noting that Rlaarlo seem to do quite big sales frequently/

Yep I have noticed they seem to have loads of sales.

The employees are great, I had a warranty issue and they resolved it via an employee on facebook who is in their facebook page group.

I messaged to say the steering servo failed, sent her a video with my order number and she replied saying it has been sent out and I received the tracking number.

Excellent customer service.
