OG Kyosho Lazer ZX parts
Discussion
I'm searching high and low for part #LA-30 for my ancient Kyosho Lazer ZX.
I've found some chancers selling it together with some other parts bags for ~90€, but I'll be damned if I'm paying that for one part that *will* break within weeks (any Lazer ZX owner will know what I'm on about here). I've found these alloy replacement parts, but I'm a little wary of ordering from a website with no apparent contact info...
If anyone here has an old parted-out Lazer ZX and wants to sell this part (and a few others) then let me know

That store sells on ebay and has good feedback. Might be worth seeing if they will list the parts you're after on ebay so you get a bit of protection.
I recently picked up a Tamiya Hilux for restoration.....I reckon I could restore a real car for less money!

Are the chassis parts for that mostly the same as the Toyota Bruiser?
I'd love to build one, but they ain't cheap

Ive bought quite a lot of parts from Pargu both on his website and via his ebay store. Shipping from Korea has always been fine and the quality of his machined parts has been very good. Much better than the ebay chinese specials and the yeah racing / gpm stuff etc.
Thanks Shredder, I think I'll order from there then

The other thing to bear in mind, Kyosho have just announced the rere of the Turbo Optima Mid Special which is pretty much the end of the Optima line - the next logical step is for them start to rerelease the Lazer.

I managed to pick up a scruffy hilux and have been picking up bits and pieces as they turn up for sale. I think it just needs a good strip down, clean, lube and reassemble and a paint job.
Just waiting for the right moment to start the disassembly.....
