Just taken delivery of this, Trumpeters 1/200th Bismarck kit. Got it for a song $200 delivered. you have no idea just how big this thing is until FedEx dropped it off, just putting the finishing touches to my new man cave/Hobby studio and I can’t wait to get stuck in, I’m going all in with it I’ve ordered the full Pontos upgrade kit for it as well.

The thing is 49” long.

Wow! I thought the 1:35 scale S Boot I have awaiting build was big at around 38 inches!
Bismarck is a particularly elegant battleship. Enjoy the build.

By my reckoning if you get the guns working they should have an effective range of 200 yards, more than enough to cause some neighbourhood mayhem!

Following with interest - particularly how it stacks up against the HMV 1:250 version that I'll probably never finish.

What's you plan for the "insignia" on the fore and aft decks?

Probably have it as it was in May 1941 overpainted but everso slightly visible, but I really like the Black/White Hull/superstructure markings so may have to have "those" markings displayed.
