Creating LEGO moc instructions from images
Discussion
I have been building lego MOCs from Rebrickable, Bricklink etc for a year or so, as a way to keep my functional cognitive impairment at bay.
I'm beginning to struggle more now so will probably have to look for easier builds. However, before I hang up my hat for good, there are 2, more complex models, that I would still like to build.
One is Furiosa's War Rig (as a B-Double with dolly and second trailer) and the other is the People Eater's limo and trailers from Fury Road/Furiosa.
I have found images of various built versions online, some with quite detailed images. However, the "builders" have not replied to my messages asking whether they have instructions for sale anywhere, or at all.
I wonder whether there is any way to reverse engineer instructions for a build from images of a finished model? Is it acceptable to do this if the original creator of the model doesn't respond/hasn't given consent?
Finally, if "yes" to these questions, is there a lego person on here that could do this for me at a reasonable cost, or do you know of a builder who might?
I don't want to break any rules/copyright/laws etc or steal someone's design. Just interested to know if it is possible and who could do this?
Thanks in advance!
PS - I am not able to visit/post regularly, so please bear with me if I don't see your reply for a day or so!

Here is the actual design drawings for the War Rig . I should also have photos I have taken when filming ,mainly closeup details of it . If you like I will post them up?
That is amazing! Thank you very much. Yes, please do post the photos if you can - I am sure many on here would love to see them! BTW - just looking at your username and your mention of filming - your last name wouldn't happen to be Miller, by any chance?

I realise they pale into insignificance somewhat now, but here are some pictures of (most) of my collection (at the end of the post!)
Most of the cars are "genuine" parts, the War Rig, The Doof Wagon and the GigaHorse are mixed, the custom Rig is not genuine (so hidden) and the Lamborghini is genuine.
I remember someone asking about dusting lego cars on another thread - I must apologise for the state of mine, but even the nicest post-apocalyptic wastelands can have anti-social neighbours...
Thanks again! Looking forward to seeing your pictures!

- Edited because I am an idiot and didn't attach the photos properly the first time.

Some excellent models there - a well done MOC is immensely satisfying.
I don't think reverse-engineering someone else's Lego MOC is really possible just from pictures these days. You can only see the outside; the clever bits are going to be how the panels, tiles etc are mounted on the outside and in any good MOC that would be well hidden. It's not like the 1980s when Ideas books could have just a picture or two of a Technic model and you could work it out pretty much exactly.
Good luck though; if you can work out your own internals then it could be feasible.

Thank you!
Unfortunately, I think you may be right but we can always live in hope.
I'm not sure if I am allowed to post the images of the builds I have found by other creators.
They are amazing, though and can easily be found by searching for "lego moc furiosa war rig" or "lego moc people eaters limo and trailers".
Fingers crossed for one of the creators to be a member on here!

Is this the first one? https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-202186/abracada_b... - you can buy the instructions from Rebrickable. I assumed you'd be aware of Rebrickable already so sorry if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs.Unfortunately, I think you may be right but we can always live in hope.

Is this any help?

Please don't worry - i am granny age and need all the help I can get!
Rebrickable is brilliant and I have found quite a few mocs on there, searching for The Road Warrior, Mad Max, Fury Road and Furiosa. Wasteland and post-apocalyptic, too.
This is the one i would like to build:
But I'm a luddite and not on Instagram but family members are and have tried to contact Will Gilbraith. I can identify most of the external parts from other images, but not the structure, unfortunately.
I couldn't even begin to guess how the structure is formed - i need to follow instructions lavishly now; some days I can't even work the kettle!

Thank you for trying - much appreciated.
That is the WarvRig from Fury Road and I have already built this one - and the convoy cars - as below:

For some reason, the images did not show in my earlier post - but thank you for taking the time to search for this for me.
I have posted a pic of Furiosa's War Rig in a reply just above this - for some reason I can't add it here!
Thanks again!
