While I admit, the 1:18 scale models are probably the sweet spot of collecting, the form factor is nice, the detail can be well represented and they don't take up too much space, I've found myself rather enjoying the bigger brothers.

My two latest additions to the cabinet. Both 1:12 Otto: 69 Charger and Gen IV Supra. Both actual dream cars of mine.

Yes I've nabbed catalogue photos because I cannot get decent photos of mine in the artificial light in my office.

I do rather fancy the Nogaro Blue RS2 and Bayside Blue R34 Skyline too, but the prices of these things is getting silly and I can't justify it.

What other big boys have you folks got?

I had the 1:12th Skyline but I sold mine as I couldn't get over the fact that the particular model never came in the Bayside Blue. Looked lovely but just couldn't get by that!

Here's a few of mine. Planning to get the Rallye packs moved to a different cabinet to get more 1:12th on display - have 40 of them!

I have models of my real cars, mainly 1:18 but I do have a 1:12 of my 991RS, (real car below)

40?!? That's a hell of a collection.

I will have to look up the Skyline, I just assumed it was a GT-R which of course did come in Bayside Blue. I wonder if that means I can get one cheaper laugh

Mustang and the Charger look great, I do quite fancy that Mustang...

What is a decent company to look for these models and which are better avoided. I fancy getting a few and want them to be decent quality.

"Nismo only officially offered one paint colour: KY0 Z-tune Silver. However, one customer (the owner of what became chassis 010) managed to convince Nismo to retain his car’s original LX0 Midnight Purple III paint"
https://supercarnostalgia.com/blog/nissan-r34-skyl...

Bayside Blue was never offered on a Z-Tune and no genuine Z-Tunes have been repainted that colour to my knowledge.

Yeah - it's a bit mental! I now sort of limit myself to special 1:12th & Rallye packs from OttO as I went a bit crazy for a while and could never display them all.

It's a Z-Tune which never came in Bayside Blue. But I don't think that will put people off charging decent money for them!

They do.
I have the blue Mustang and the orange Charger but they take up a bit too much space to have all 4 out.

All mine are Otto Models, so they are resin rather than diecast which means like they tend to have fewer opening doors and hatches etc.. but I'm very happy with them.

I've got a couple of Kyosho 1/12 F40s, but I'm building up quite a stash of 1/8 kits.

So far I've only built 3 - Pocher F40 and Testarossa, and a Panini F40.
Also a Pocher 1/4 Ducati Panigale

I've got a few to build:
Pocher and Ixo Porsche 917s
Pocher Lotus 72
Pocher F40 with Autograph transkit

Got my eye on the latest Pocher Ducati too, and the Ducati engine kit

Mine are OttO or GTSpirit (who are the same company but annoyingly won't sell direct to the public any more).
I do have some Solido 1:18th (again, same company!) which are die cast with opening doors and they seem to be OK as well. Nothing on CMC or AutoArt etc. but nice enough and pretty cheap.

Not for me.

"Modern" supercars just don't interest me, so I didn't bother with the Pocher Pagani.

What I'd really like to see is a 956 in Rothmans or (preferably) Newman livery....

Fair enough, I too avoided the Pagani and Lambos of recent times. You have plenty to choose from still, IXO Gullwing, Agora Miura,

IXO showed recently a completed Martini 935 at a German model show which I am sure will be launched soon, and also had a prototype for a 956 there. Perhaps your wish may become reality in the next year or so.

DeAgostini 1/8th E type with a 1/18 Pagoda for scale.
The Pagoda is quite a large model car!

The DeAgostini is a monster of a model, over 1/2 a meter long and it weighs nearly 10 lbs.
The detail is out of this world too.
I also built a few of the real thing as well.
