The 16-foot wing-span model of the Vickers Valient has crashed, burnt and was destroyed on only its fourth flight. The flight was in front of an inspector to obtain a license for flights in public. The Register web-site has more details.

The model was insured for £15,000 and took 4 years to complete.

Hope there is a video of one of its flights.

Bad luck - but not unexpected. Most flying models seem to have a finite flying career.
