Humbrol Acrylic Paints

Am I right in assuming that I can use these paints in my airbrush? I dont particularly like using enamels.

Yep, no problem, but use with acrylic thinners or water

I've no had a problem, although to be honest Tamiya paints are better and Xtracrylic (from Hannants) are a far better colour match and give a more realistic finish

Over on the modelling forums the new Humbrol Acrylics have not been getting the greatest reviews.

I have settled on the Xtraxcrylic range as my favourite acrylic paints. Their main drawback is that they are not generally available outside of the two Hannants outlets (Lowestoft and Hendon) apart from by mail order or at model and airshows when Hannants sometimes have trade stands.

I tried a pot of the Humbrol acrylics last weekend and they really are quite poor. I'm normally using Tamiya, Xtraxcrylic or Vallejo and definitely won't be using any more Humbrol.

I belive Vallejo do an airbrush range as well, but i haven't used them personally so can't comment on quality.

They do indeed. Not bad, although the colours can be a little bit hit and miss sometimes. I have on occasion wondered if I've picked the right bottle up.

The Model Air range is apparently good to go, no thinning required, but I have to admit I've always thinned it slightly, mainly through habit.
