Can any one help? I've been offered a Minichamps 1-18 scale McLaren SLR convertible model (silver) which is a UK Mercedes dealer edition. The box has the Merc as well as the SLR logo on it and is a genuine Merc edition model and box - as verified by my local dealer, but I was wondering whether it is a rare-ish collectors piece and how much it would be worth on the die-cast market, ie ebay?. It has also been verified as the last remaining dealer edition SLR model available in the UK, not that it would make any difference, would it? and it's not a limited, numbered edition. I'm a keen collector myself but have no idea of its overal value. I'm tempted to buy it (£80.00) and add it to my collection, but is it that a good price?

Your help would be really appreciated.

The majority of these dealer models are either Minichamps, AutoArt or Kyosho models just boxed up in marque branding. I would guess a price tag of between £40-60 max.

Collectors tend to go for model branded models rather then these dealer versions and the dealers always over price them anyway... After all, value for money is not something you can say about any marque 'branded' items from their gift collections!
