Anybody know MR collection or Amalgam?

MR do a model Murcielago SV, and apparently Amalgam have a 1/8 scale model in the pipeline.

Any views on these two companies, the quality of their models, detail, etc?

Hi Andrew,

Both of these companies build models on a scale far superior to anything that is normal fair, such as Auto Art or Kyosho.
Hand built in very small numbers, with exquisite attention to detail, they will very often build you your own car, or apply special details for you.
MR normally deals in 1/43rd scale, but are increasingly building in this larger scale to great effect.
I have the SV in orange arriving this week, so if you want to see any pics, or know who to speak to to import one at a reasonable price, let me know.
And as for Amalgam, they are the same, but in a much larger scale.
Both companies are highly recommended.

Hi Ruttboy - lucky you! And yes please I'd love to see some pics to get a sense of the finish and detail! Also yes please regarding reasonably priced importer.

Obviously I would want a metallic black SV with big wing, small logo, and white stitching!

I haven't heard of MR, but I do know that Amalgam are awesome - before they made cars they were making large models of super yachts - have you seen their website?
