Eflite Blade MSR
Discussion
anyone have one of these
just recieved spare spindle and 4 washers and 4 grommits for the bit were the blades go on ,
in the instructions it shows only using 2 washers and 2 grommits....
which is it ,
also it tends to want to "toilet bowl" , have replaced blades ,grips and fly bar ,also rear blade.

Got one of these about a week ago now.
Had a twister co-ax about 6 months ago, and kept snapping flybars, so after about 5 i gave up flying it as it wasnt a challenge and became less and less fun with the lack of control.
The MSR is absolutely excellent. Would recommend one to anyone whose been tempted by RC helis but been put off by the possibility of loosing control and decapitating themselves and causing lots of expensive damage to the heli.
Its stable, but agile enough to chuck about the room like a little madman. It has TBE from the pendulum effect the 45* flybar causes, but it can be countered quite easily with some cyclic management.
Only problem is, im now hooked, and cant wait to get something bigger, and i know things are going to get expensive.
Cant stop flying this little thing. To the point where i've killed the main motor. Oh well, got two new ones today from LHS, so im airborn again, but with adequate cooling time between flights.
Just wondering if anyone else has one?

But can you tell him how the washers go when he rebuilds it?
(TBH I quite fancy one of these too )
Not off hand, i've not broken it to the extent at which i would learn such things. But i can point him towards www.heliguy.com/forum . Down in the blade forum its quite active and got some excellent info already there plus some very helpful members and id urge him to get over there and ask.

Which parts are you on about? Tell me the part numbers on the exploded diagram on this .pdf:

And mine toilet bowls as well, even after replacing everything in/on the head except main shaft. Have given up with it. Still also trying to rebuild HK450 after replacing tail drive cogs, got bored with rebuilding so just sitting in a box somewhere, Another "hobby" my Mrs was right when she said I'd get bored with it. Oh well.
