Clio TomTom Bluetooth Question

A friend of mine has a current shape Clio TomTom edition. The built-in sat nav uses bluetooth for its remote control. A mobile phone is picking up a bluetooth signal but not fully connecting.

Does anyone know if there is any way to get full bluetooth functionality for a phone in this car?

Sorry don't know the answer but isn't there a manual?

If he doesn't have one you can get them off the Renault website by registering in "My Renault", but have you tried other phones?
