Good evening all,

I'm completely new to this and am looking to purchase a 2007 Peugeot 207 1.4 HDi S with 57,000 miles.

Is there anything in particular I should look out for on this model? Are these engines reliable as I plan to keep the car for a good few years.

I understand that they are Cambelt driven, what is the interval for this?

Any help would be greatly received.

Thank you!

Have a look here and here for some common failure areas. Seems pretty reliable mechanically from the quick bit of googling I did.

Timing belt is somewhere around 140,000 miles. However on c3's and 206's i have seen water pump failure at 85,000.I recommend belt and pump replacement at 80,000 miles to my customers. It's up to them if they take my advice.
