citroen xsara 1.8sx power steering hose

my mate has a 2000 vintage citroen, hasnt had it long, and it needs a new power steering hose. he is having problems gettnig one as it is now a custom part (which is staggering on a 13 year old car)

any pointers as to where to get one? and also how much to fit it? usual googling hasnt turned up much and garage has quoted 400 quid including fitting which seems a bit steep on a 1k car

Google for local Pirtek branch they will make it up using the old one as a pattern

Try one of the french car breakers,Edwards & sons at billericay,frenchspares at ranskill,m&ms at holmfirth.There is a citroen hydraulic specialist at sawtry called pleiades.If you tell me the last eight numbers of the vin number i will look on citroen service and see what else it may have fitted.
