206 Idle

hi,can any help. i have a 206 gti 2000 year. it seems to have poor idle when cold, for around 1 min,once warm all is ok. many thanks

Hi there,

these motors arent the best for cold idle and a lot of them are unstable until they warm up, if it is exceptionally bad i.e misfiring upon idle, check the plugs are either bosch are peugeot eqiem items (they dont like NGKs e.t.c), replace the plugs and coil pack...

If problem still persists Im afraid you could be looking at a problem with the hydraulic lifters!
