french plates ????

Are french plates illegal. I have french metal pressed ones and got a £30 fine. Was the officer correct in this and they are illegal or was he just being a because he automaticaly thinks im a boy racer for driving a saxo vts. Wats the score?

Yes they are illegal i'm afraid as they are basically classed as show (off road use only) plates & normally dealt with by way of a fixed fine

Beware being caught using them again as fine could increase or worse you could get case points on license
