Not posted here before as I have never owned a french car, but the OH has a 1.2 2003 clio. She said recently 3 or 4 times when she has come to a stop at a junction for example the engine has just dropped off and died. Not made a fuss, or any noise, the revs just drop and it turns off.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Cheers

Throttle body gunked up maybe? Is it getting worse MPG, could be temp sensor, causing the fuelling to be wrong.

check at the back of the engine when looking into the engine bay that the wiring loom has not been chaffed through by the square metal cover which sits over the loom plug connector for the ecu
tdc sensor's can cause problems
and as stated before gummed up throttle body

Thanks. I'll have a look tomorrow when its light and she's home. How can I check for a gunked up throttle body? Is it simple? I'm not anything special with a spanner.
