Dear all

Do you know if anyone other than a main dealer can supply replacement keys for a Berlingo?

Ours gave up the ghost a while ago and I'd quite like t be able to remotely lock the car again. The key buttons thelselves fell apart, so I assume the electrics on the car are still viable...

The main dealer wants c.£168 to do this, which I can't afford!!

Cheers - this question actually spurred me on to do a bit investigating and it seems to be quite a common failing, and loads of people on ebay do 'key kits' - I just need to decide what level of replacement I need. The metal bit still works obviously, and the code presumably does (although not used it for a while of course), just the buttons / battery which are u/s?

Many thanks for the reply :-)

If its just the buttons that have come off some careful soldering will reattach them.

Initially the plastic fell aprt, then after I'd patched it up, it all fell apart with button innards coming out, so I am not sure if there is anything left to solder!

Will have to have a look sometime now I know it is a problem which can be fairly easily resolved

Cheers for the reply
