Turbo R tyre pressures

Does anyone have a view on tyre pressures for a Turbo R on standard 15" wheels (255/65 tyres)?

Hi John,

I have some notes on the subject, from back when mine was on the standard wheel/tyre combo, but the notes are in my car, which is at Phantom at the moment. I have experimented a lot over the last 11 years, more so with my current Continental T wheel/tyre combo fitted.

IIRC, I settled on 31 front, 38 rear, for the Avons on 15's (which are handbook pressures anyway if I'm not mistaken). When I get my car back, I will check and let you know.

I found that I have had to increase the front pressures to combat excessive wear despite having a full 4 wheel alignment check. Before that, the insides scrubbed at recommended pressures (28 I think) so I run 32/38 F/R

Handbook says 31 / 37 I think, but I have been running mine at 34 / 34 (on advice, I think Stuart W.'s , but I can't remember).

I'd be very interested to know the results of your research, Warren, when BG is back from PMC.

There could be a problem with the suspension standing height ,or the castor and camber which is adjustable on these vehicles.wheel alignment is not always the cure for front tyre wear on these vehicles.
