Taxi driver not paying attention, this is the result:

Bugger.

A great shame as the car is driving perfectly and is just about 'run in':

Is it going to be written off for that?

Sadly, yes.

We are arranging to buy the car from the insurance company and repair it as it has great sentimental value.

Very sorry to hear it. I am surprised the plastic bumper isn't damager. Such a shame about the boot. I had a quick look on Flyingspares.com and it looks like they don't sell the parts you need.

It might be worth emailing this seller for parts

Good luck.

Very sad to see this. If I can be of any help sourcing parts let me know. My good friend and mechanic has dismantled quite a few of these SZ cars.

Sorry to see this...looks lovely other than the damage.

Hope you have it as good as new (or 176,000 miles) very soon.

Thanks Andy smile

A body shop near Droitwich has been recommended to us and I hope the car will be back to it's former glory soon.

I wouldn't bother with the insurance, get a private quote and get it done privately. You don't want it on the damaged register as written off. That damage although looks bad and is a pain in the but, is in the big scheme of things minor.
nice car ........."Save the Bentley" angel

Yes, I was also going to say, keep away from the insurance company.

Or if not, keep a good photographic record and documentation about the damage so if you were to ever sell it on, the buyer has all the detail about why it was written off.
