Found a near perfect GTC 21/21 plate with everything except NAIM - how good is the standard music system?
It’s a lot of cash I’ll be keeping for a while so getting all opinions

Cheers

I have it in my 2009 GT Speed and it is amazing, can't imagine how spectacular the new Naim system is at twice the watts to mine plus even more speakers, but the reviews are incredible. I just don't see how you buy a Bentley without it.

DS's cash went elsewhere but mine went on the GTC and I went with Naim. SO glad I did. It's wonderful.

I would pay to avoid Naim. I'm sure a seventeen year old boy would like it for his Bassline Bangers 2025 playlist, but I thought it was horrid. B&O is better, standard is fine.

I have it in my Bentayga, it is certainly very good but dont think I would notice if it was the standard. The only car I regret not up specking the sound system is my 911.

I’ve had Bose, Burmester and standard in different 911s. Whilst nothing special the standard was better than the other two. Burmester was an expensive option and sounded appalling.

I've had both Bose and Burmester in Taycans and 911's and I'd go Burmester every time.

I also think the Naim is excellent. Maybe it's my childish bassline boomer playlist.

The Burmester I had did something weird with DAB radio. It was like there was a permanent echo.

The downside to the NAIM in my Gen 1 Speed was that the subwoofer intruded into the boot space. Not sure if later models had the same issue, but something to check.

Are you seeing deals over and above current advertised prices? I'm starting to get interested in a little more comfort and a GTC is on the list

There are a fair few cars out there but the spec varies greatly. It's hard to find one with everything desirable, most seem to be missing something. For me, the compromise was the engine in the end, V8 instead of the V12 Speed. Saved me a few quid mind and the colour was very important to me.

I enquired in to a few and nobody was budging on price, best I got was extra years servicing, making my plates up for me ready for a swap and them delivering it to me.

They are wonderful cars, the difference in price isn't as great with the GTC between coupe and convertible as it is with the likes of the Roma so if you are looking for a coupe there are more options.

I didn’t go ahead for 2 reasons, one was I had a great offer of stock and it used up 2/3rds of my deposit and two were in a spiral of crap that only companies associated with government spending will profit from so I’m watching the market. I’ll be back in the game January.
