E85 Bioethanol

Hi,

Off to France several times over the next few months and looking at the price of E85 it's half the effective cost of Super Unleaded. Does anyone with a Flexfuel W12 fill up with E85 on the continent? Any issues? MPG etc?

MPG will drop off quite a bit, I've heard 25-40%, but if it's half price it would still be a bit cheaper. Personally I don't like the stuff as it is very corrosive to metals and some kinds of rubber and plastic, I suppose a car designed to run on it should be protected, but did they cover all their bases with sensors and other misc. stuff? Who really knows. Around my area in USA it's usually only 25% cheaper, so doesn't make any fiscal sense, so why bother.
