R50 exhaust recommendations
Discussion
Hello, 1st post on these forums.
My 2006 r50 mini cooper exhaust is pretty corroded, not blowing yet, but not far off. Currently being serviced at main dealers and just asked them to quote for an OEM replacement. £480 parts and labour.
Now I'm stuck... don't know if I should get a stainless after market back box or buy and OEM myself and fit it.
I like the idea of a milltek/borla/magnaflow etc... but I'm worried about insurance implications if it's a 'performance' exhaust, and also don't want antisocially loud.
I have a very noisy can on my sv650 that would set off car alarms, loved the noise but for some reason I don't find loud exhausts appealing on cars.
Any advice greatly appreciated

if there is one near you pop in and have a chat with them, they will make you a decent system and it wont be loud
