Rollcage question
Discussion
I just can't see the point of a rear cage on a dedicated track car. If its a road and track car then yes but a dedicated track car would benefit more from a full cage and doesn't need the compromises of a half cage. My MX5 has a rear cage as its a road car I use on track. If it was a dedicated track car I'd fit a full cage.

Fair point and a full cage would be ideal but for me it's a case of Weight and costs. Mainly costs. Years ago I had a Renault 5 GT Turbo which I competed in the CCC sprint championship. This had a 4 point rear cage, one roll bar just behind the driver with 2 bars bolted onto the rear inner wheel arches. The other 2 were bolted to the floor just behind the front seats. This will afford some protection in the event of a roll and a full cage is I think unnecessary. Much better than nothing.
