Hi guys, at the Bromley Pageant yesterday, stunning little lime green mini over in the custom car section with a roof chop and made to look like what in Porsche terms is called a Speedster.
Or in Smart terms the crossblade, ie no windscreen to speak of.

Sorry if posted before but does anyone have any info ? is it a one off job or is someone doing conversions ?

Thanks in advance.

Pity as I would like to buy that speedster at the right money.
Your roof chop looks cool as well, out of interest what will you have to do seat wise ? Have some that a virtually on the floor like a cateram or similar ?

tbh even with the stock seats most people fit in the car fine, normally above the roof lining the is 1" space but I will be sitting the seats almost on the floor to compensate for the height reduction.

Cheers, well I just wish mine was finished, you managed quite a good turn around with your project and I just wish I had more time to get it done. It will be on the road next year so I will see you at one of the shows I am sure and then we can talk about the tribulations of chopping one of the minis up for fun

its never going to be worth what you put into it but I guess you have a very limited market being that it has no roof, or does it? mine has cost me up and over £20k now with all the engine work but wasn't yours mostly body mods? I would suggest between £5k and £9k but its a difficult car to judge as its a one off and would be purchased as a dry day weekend car only. If it had a soft top that would make it easier to sell but then you would need to change the windscreen and add glass.

Your last issue is that you have changed the chassis monocoque so technically in accordance to the IVA should be a Q plate though there seams to be a few different rules about that and it depends what you read and who you talk with.

I have spoken with DVLA regarding my chop and it will be a Q plate as I have changed the structure of the car from factory
