Can a bike be fitted in a BMW Mini Cooper S?
Discussion
I know it's not a mountain bike, but MINI sell a bike (folding) emblazoned with the word MINI that fits in the MINI boot.
Bike chain is Neon Yellow as is the ...bell!
Has a Union Jack too on rear forks.
One little problem...
it's 499 quid!
That's what I was told by MINI dealer but on this site it says 499 euros.
even so, too dear.

I've got one of these http://www.evanscycles.com/products/saris/bones-3-...
It fits 3 bikes on and sits on the back of my R53 really well. I can get one bike with the front wheel removed into the car if needed but most of the time tehre is no way I would put one of our bikes in my clean car - it's easy enough to wash the outside, not so easy the inside.

There's a boot liner that covers the complete seat-down load bay. Clips under the front headrests and has (barely adequate) suckers on the rear windows to keep the sides up. Bit expensive (£140) but keeps all the mud, leaves and oil out of the upholstery.
Is that a BMW part? Might be tempted to get one as it does get quite muddy in the back after some of the rain recently.notax said:
Are you saying you can get two complete bikes in the car at once? Thanks for the replies btw.
Sorry for the very late response but yes you can. The passenger seat needs to move fairly far forward but as long as all the wheels are off the bikes they fit. As i did this only a couple of weeks ago 2 mountain bikes my Marin and SWHMBO Hard rock.I carry my road bike in my mini all the time and I'm 6"6' so have the seat right back and as you can imagine also have a big bike 60cm frame.
Oh, and my mini is a convertible cooper s so no worries at all in a hardtop!
I take both wheels off, seat post off and then slide it through the postbox of a boot, fits a treat.
