mini one convertible warning sensors

Hi,I have an 08 mini one convertible on which the red sensor warning light for the boot, bonnet and doors is staying on permanently. Occasionally it flickers and goes off but comes on again fairly quickly. I have tried twiddling them but to no avail so would be grateful if somebody can tell me what the problem is please.
