Pulley and air filter
Discussion
Just bought a Cooper S (2003) and want to upgrade the pulley to 15 or 17%. I have read all of the intercooler upgrade logs but tbh I only use the car to commute so reckon I will go with the 17%.
1. What are the best 2-3 pulley brands ?
2. Are induction kits worth the money or does heat soak mean replacing the filter panel for a K&N/Piper panel is best ?
3. What spark plugs should I upgrade to ?
Cheers guys

is the pulley a definite garage job. or can it be taken on as a diy job?
You can do it as a DIY job but you'll definately need the pulley puller which makes the job so much easier, I took my old pulley off with a dremel (the stock pulley's are heat shrunk on) which I wouldn't recommend nor ever do again!!! The craven speed ones are the best pullers http://www.lohen.co.uk/shop/proddetail.php?prod=Cr...I have been researching this over past few days and was going to DIY it but it seems that 2 companies will fit the pulley, belt amd plugs AND do a Health check, all for £222 inc VAT. No point in buying the parts for £130 odd and then the tool for approx 50 quid and then spending 2-4hrs under the bonnet. Might as well get it fitted by a pro for the sake of an extra 20-30 quid, knowing that they will do it properly. Booking mine in for nxt week. All IMO.
