Just bought Mini One Petrol with 51000 miles and registered in Jan 2009.

TLC package has just expired at 50,000 miles.

Car has had 2 services so far under tls at Dick Lovett Swindon. First at 20,000 miles at 8.9.10. The second at 44,000 miles at 12.1.12.

Cost to extend tlc by 5 years or 30,000 miles is £275 - presumably plus VAT?

Is it a good deal??

Thanks.

I don't quite remember what it includes but something like another 30,000 miles servicing or 3 years. I thought it seemed good value for what it did (especially from a main dealer and potentially that all important (or not) main dealer stamp come resale time.....

I think I paid just over £300 for my XL pack and it covered the Inspection 2 and another oil service - it basically covered the car until 80k miles or 8 years whichever was sooner. I thought it was a no brainer TBH.

If you are sticking to main dealer then I would say go for it - mine had to be paid for before the current TLC pack ran out though. I'd check with the dealer whether you can purchase the XL pack as yours has run out.

Funnily enough this morning I have received the offer of TLC XL on my current Mini. The offer is £275 for 3 years or 30,000 miles servicing.

I know the service intervals are quite long but three years servicing for £275 seems like good value....

I will probably go for it TBH.

Reading the attached it would appear to covers my 2009 One for 2 services and a brake fluid change.....

You've got to make sure you have them carried out within 3 years or 30,000 miles whichever comes first.

I wonder if they will carry out for e.g. the second service if you are near the end of either limiting criteria (time or mileage) but diagnostics says car is not ready???

We bought the TLC XL when our Cooper was due its Inspection 2. It was £275 for the I2 and £300 for TLC XL which included the I2 and another oil service. Seemed reasonable, so we bought it and bagged the oil service just before the car was 8 years old in June this year.

With the intervals mentioned in the OP it might only need one service.
