2003 Mini Cooper S service?
Discussion
Hello!
According to the little digital display my Mini is due a service in 400 miles - and apparently is well overdue a brake service, so say the guys at BMW. I accidentally pressed the trip button whilst it was displaying the miles to service the other morning and it came up with a minus figure - is this referring to my bake service?
Anyway, I am getting my local garage to do both a service plus brake service, and they have asked what to include in the service. I have no idea whether it is due a major or minor service, or what either of these entail. Any idea, or how would I find out? If it's due a major service then i'll get that done, but money is tight at the moment and I don't want to pay for stuff that could happily wait. For what it's worth the car appears to be running fine!!
Any help would be appreciated - thanks!!

If you turn the ignition to position one, you get a diaplay of miles remaining until next service. Whilst it's doing that, press the right button on the instrument & you will get a display of how many miles remain until the brake fluid should be changed, according to the car itself.
Otherwise, a brake inspection should consider the condition of the pads & disks as well as the brake lines & reservoir. Pretty straightforward stuff for any garage. but obviously something you will want to know is in tip top condition.
