Is there a buyers guide on the Mini?

My daughter is buying her second car after two years driving, and has her heart set on a Mini, clearly they seem to be at a premium to similar sized cars however she wants one and that's that.
Looks like 1400cc mini 1's about 2007 or 2008 vintage.
Any known issues or look outs please.

Seeing cars this weekend lucky me ...
