I'll be picking up an R52 Cooper S Convertible in about a week's time, and am already looking to remove the existing radio (CD player, so a "Boost" unit I believe) and replace it with an aftermarket head unit, with Bluetooth.

What do I need to do this? I know I'll need a DIN facia adapter, and probably an ISO wiring harness, but is there anything else?

I believe the car has a Harmon-Kardon stereo system in it, if that makes a difference? (speakers have harmon-kardon written on them.)

Cheers!

It'll need an adaptor for the aerial too as they use a tiny little thing. I got mine from eBay.
Replacing the HU is pretty easy.

My 2005 MCSC had HK specced when i bought it new. it was the best set up I've heard from a std fit system.

I'd suggest keeping it and adding BT separately. Try Mikey at New Mini Stuff, he works wonders with MINIs of all vintages.
