MINI seat belts
Discussion
I love my Mini CooperD...apart from one annoying factor. The seat belt chafes my neck. In four years of ownership I have tried: moving the seat up and down, backwards and forwards; changing the angle of the back and fitting a cover over the seat belt which doesn't work as the rough edge of the seat belt is still only thinly covered. The dealers tell me that I am the only customer who has reported an issue. It is not a problem in the Winter as I am usually wearing a coat or a fleece with a collar which the seat belt can go under. However, Spring is, supposedly, approaching, along with the delights of motoring with less covering around my neck and hence constant irritation.
Any ideas greatly received as the time is approaching for me to buy the TLC XL package or trade it in for a Golf!

Have you considered one of those faux leather covers?
I had this problem with my MX-5 and one of those strapped to my seatbelt works a treat.
Not had the issue with my MINI though, although have only had it during the winter so perhaps haven't noticed and neck rubbing.
How tall are you?

The cover I tried was polyester and foam filled. The foam was superfluous as there was none on the edge where the problem is. I am 5'6" so not short. Travelled in a Golf last week and appreciated not having to try to move the seat belt to a better position even once during a long journey.
These work well for kids. For £5 it's got to be worth a crack? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seat-Adjuster-Safety-Adult...
