Guys

I think this is my first post! Shame it has to start with a problem.
My wife's cooper s might have an oil leak... I had to top it up today. It's a 57 plate cabrio. So still the old supercharged unit.
Anyway it's not in the usual place ie dripping on the floor it's to the left of the supercharger as you look at the engine from the front. While checking the dipstick I noticed the oil sitting on a strut as scribed above. Wiped it clean. Then after taking the car for a quick drive to refuel. Funny how that's my job... Came back checked oil noticed a small pool in same place.

Does any body know what this could be, and why it is leaking at this spot. Is it a major prob. Or known to the supercharged coopers. Also is it expensive to have fixed?

Thanks in advance.

So you know which area I'm talking about I've taken some pics. Just need to work out how to upload, and you will see what I mean

Cheers

does it look like the oil is coming out of the engine mount?
it's an oil filled damper on the mount
this was mine, it drove so much nicer after replacing it

you can see where it had seeped out the the little rivet type part and left a residue
not seen it quite as bad as your as it looks like it's visibly wet.

its the engine mount, just that side, and easy to change
