Hi guys.

Advice would be appreciated.

Anybody changed the above part. And if so how easy is it to change. Any special tools required. Obviously if its gonna be e pensive to buy the tools may as well get it fitted in a garage. I believe t he part is only about £60 from BMW parts dept.

Cheers guys

I have one gone on my sons car, it is a fairly easy job to do so i am informed, but on the other hand BMW charges around £30 to do the job (1/2 an hour) so will let them do it!

My son and I changed his a few years back, I don't remember it being a particularly difficult job or needing any special tools. IIRC we ran the front wheels up onto some 6"x2" so that we could get the trolley jack under the engine to support it. Make sure you use some padding to protect the underside of the engine.

Yea on the drivers side. I'm guessing its not hat difficult, but don't have a decent jerk or ramp so might as well get a garage quote for replacement. Cheers anyway
