Hi all,

Hopefully picking up a used Mini Cooper S Clubman next week (late 2007 model).

Going to get a health check done at the local official dealer beforehand, and just wondering if there's anything specific I should ask/check for while they're doing their stuff?

I've read about issues with the Timing Chain, Fuel Pump, Turbo (oil not getting to it), and would want to know at least if these things have been checked, or have any revised parts etc issued by BMW/Mini.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks,
Raj

Hi Raj,

Welcome to PH!

I have owned a 2007 clubman S for almost two years. Mine had a rattle from the timing chain, had the tensioner replaced and now solved.

Not easy to check but mine does like to drink oil, was using about a litre every 1000 miles. No real issue but keep an eye on the level.

Check the tyres, as the run flats can cost a bit. Many replace RFs with normal tyres to improve the ride quality. Plenty of debate about this on here.

What spec. do you have? Post some piccies up when you can....
