Mini Vision concept

BMW are showing the above concept at a design show in Germany. It is assumed (by the press) to be very close to the new model, plus the usual garish choice of exterior finishes and interior chintz.

To me the design seems very busy, with far too many lines around the bonnet. The ghastly late noughties style front bumper from the photos scooped a couple of weeks ago (and let's be honest, BMW needed something out in the wild to counteract those truly dire pics) has been enhanced by the number plate and front fogs. The side scuttles look much closer to the Countryman's style.

Do like the clean roof line, but while these are better than the scoop photos, I remain unconvinced by the new model.
