R56 MCS Automatic - New owner

I picked up our new (to us) 2010 MCS Automatic, with the 184 BHP engine.

We were originally looking at a late manual R53 or R56. But due to my other half's rhuematoid athritus she found it difficult putting either into reverse, so the only way to go was buy an automatic. I was a bit dubious about an automatic MCS, they 'should' be manual, but having test driven one all doubt was removed. It was like a dodgem

I was impressed with the fuel economy as well; on the drive back from the MINI dealer it was easily showing mid 40s without trying too much, obviously pressing on made a bit of difference So maybe cake and eat it.

Anyway, ramble over, here it is in Eclipse Grey......

No mate, it's a 2012 Mini Cooper S Manual, I'm strictly a manual guy unless it's a diesel! (But I understand why you bought an auto).

Genuinely one of the most fun cars I've ever driven.....roll on the 21st.....

I'd like to compare an auto to mine. Whether it makes the same slightly ridiculous (but fantastic) bangs mine makes.

Yes, it does the bang thing in Sport mode

And yes, it's eclipse grey all over. I didn't want any decals etc.

I would have preferred a manual, but the auto is much better than I thought

I was impressed at hom much they pop when you have the sport button on and use the paddles to change down. The most impressive for me was a 2013 JCW auto, the box worked really well with it.
