Anyone else opt for a Fletcher exhaust?
I've just got one on the wife's Cooper S along with a stainless manifold and sports cat.
The old exhaust was very corroded, blowing and is restrictive by design.
This Fletcher one looks a well made system and fits very well, but is noisier than I expected. Maybe because of the SS manifold we have too.
The car is noticeably more responsive on it, and over 2000 rpm on throttle it sounds fantastic, with a lot of popping when you back off.

Hmmm, looks nice. I was looking at a Milltek one for mine which comes in at around £500.

How does this one stack up price wise?

This one was 422.40 direct from Jap shop.
They developed it on a rolling road and have them made in Thailand I believe.
When I rang he compared the quality to the Miltek one, but the ones I saw on ebay didn't have the front resonator on. With that they were a fair bit more money.
It seems a minefield comparing like with like.

I learned a lesson on ebay buying an uprated alloy intercooler for 126.50..... from China.

It arrived, but didn't quite fit. I was told to send it back for a refund, cost me 48 postage but was abandoned by the seller due to customs costs.
A long ebay case was opened, which resulted in a refund of 60.
My advice is buy from the UK, but watch out for the cheaper exhausts that are cheap for a reason. They don't fit quite right.
Ive noticed some sellers putting a get out clause in the advert like "Some modification may be required to fit your vehicle"... so watch out.

The Manifold with sport cat was £299 delivered from sales@japspeed.com which may be the same company I bought the exhaust off, as the receipt has no less than 7 websites on.
Both fit great.

Thanks for the detailed reply.

They do look lovely, price wise there isn't much for the cat back alone vs the Milltek.

I'm undecided.

The near side rear silencer has rotted completely and unfortunately that's the one you would need intact to do the "one ball" as a short term fix.

Reports I've read since seeing your post indicate the fletcher is a great bit of kit but a fair bit louder at motorway speeds.. To be fair though that's not what the car is really about and point to point is where it will spend most of its time....

In short, I'm indecisive smile
