'Clicking' from dials when starting the car.
Discussion
Evening MINI fans!
We've just picked up the new MINI (well not new, but new, you know?) pic below...

It's a 2005 Cooper convertible with chilli pack and black leather, lovely car.
The only very small annoying thing with the car is that when you start it, there is a frenzied 'clicking' noise from the area where the fuel/temp gauges are in the main bezel.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what the cause/cure may be.
Many thanks

Mine does this when it's cold out- assume it's a battery thing but only on frosty mornings and it did it last winter as well and never had any problems with starting the car or any other issues so I haven't worried about it. The clicking on mine is the fuel needle flicking up and down a bit when it's first started.
Mine (05 Cooper) does this too every time it gets started up from cold (not sure when warm). Its irritating as it feels like the little dials may blow up, but its doesn't seem to have any other effect.
Reading on the web shows its common and ultimately not easy to resolve. According the MINI / BMW its not an issue (there is a long post on Mini2.com about it with a TSB as well, IIRC).
