2.0 SD engine reliability?

Apologies if asked before, I honestly have tried searching!
I am looking to trade in the Clubman for a used SD version, and am finding a few models in my pricing range with reasonable mileage (30k - 45k).
What I want to know is, how well are these engines fairing?
The plan would be with whatever I buy next is to rack up over 50,000 miles, over an owner period of maybe five years, through a mixed use of motorway commuting and the odd short trip to the shops.
