OH mentioned the other day that she likes the JCW version of the Countryman. Does anyone have this model? What are they like to live with?

What are people's opinions especially in White with red roof and door mirrors.

I would only ever consider a Cooper S in a Countryman and even then could I live with the ugliness of the beast but the JCW version looks a lot better.

We have a Clubman at the moment but should the family grow in the future then so will the car...

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts either good or bad.

We bought one last autumn and my wife says it is the best car she has ever had. We even picked the auto with flappy paddles which is great around town. Flick the sport bottom for more pops and bangs, and a pano sunroof really does lighten up the black leather cabin plus both sections will tilt or just the front will slide back for open air.

Not cheap, but we won't be changing in a hurry. Black with the red decals was our choice with red roof and mirrors.

Not everyone's cup of tea but we're very happy with it.

What do you average mpg wise?

Is the boot decent? We have a Clubman at the moment and manage ok with one baby but if/when another comes along we will need a bigger car.

Glad you are enjoying it anyway.

Countryman boot is small for the size of car. It seems more biased to passenger space than luggage space.

And for 2 big suitcases we had to take the flat load floor and parcel shelf out.

We have a clubman S at the moment. I am also interested in 'upgrading' to a Countryman. So following the thread with some interest.

We have two kids at the moment (son is one year old and daughter is five). We manage okay with the Clubman and a roof box - but it is a company car, six years old and I fancy a change......

My wife has just changed her convertible S for one.

there is enough space for real people in the back, but the boot is smallish with the seats back. would struggle with 4 people's luggage.

MPG seems poor, and the tank seems smaller than the convertible.

Drives pretty well for what it's worth - and it's quite a nice place to sit.

We bought one in November, silver with red stripes and top beautiful looking car if a bit bulky, but the wife wanted a mini and we have three kids so we bought the countryman version as it is the only mini that is a five seater, the boot is a little small but the seats are nice and large for 5 people the wife loves it know she has got used to the awkward clutch position and sais she wants to keep it for a long time, it is a bit pricey to purchase but they seem to sell quickly and the 19" runflats are not cheep but it is v good car.

Ive got a cooper s countryman at the minute as a courtesy car. Wow I've driven some st cars in the past and I thought the ride could be a bit harsh in my E91 msport but by a country mile the countryman is the worse car I've driven.
It's got 18"s with an unknown make of tyre which is rock hard, if the road surface isn't snooker table smooth it bangs and crashes along, I hit a pothole just after I picked it up,the bang was so loud I stopped and got out to look for bits of car as I thought something had broken, the noise at anything over 30mph is loud and intrusive, try to have a normal conversation at 70mph is really difficult. At speed it feels like the rear tyres are flat/low on pressure, it wallows and pitches and is quite dangerous I feel. The interior is just a sea of nasty cheap looking plastics. The key is in an awkward place and has popped out 3 times now. Which means getting out and retreaving the key off of the floor. It feels like it wants to stall everytime I pull away. I'm getting just over 30mpg which is also crap. I hate this car. The only thing that I like is the xenon lights.

So, you're not that keen on it then.

I get a lot of wind noise from the clubman though it doesn't really bother me. I can also live with 30mpg too.

Thanks for your comments.
