Cooper s owners plea!

As with my other thread, I'm looking to buy either a R53 or R56 cooper s.

Got my car for sale just waiting for the right deal...
Been to look at some but I'm desperate to get in one while it's rolling! I've driven my car an r50 cooper and a newer cooper d, but havnt been in an s s for 10 years.

Any one within an hour of liverpool that would let me come and sit in there car while they drive it?
Supercharged or turbo?

A crate of beer would be in it.

I'm a little further away from you but if it's not too far, you'd be very welcome to come along for a ride. I have a 2012 MCS; pictures and details in my thread in readers cars.

I'm in west Shropshire inbetween Oswestry and Shrewsbury about 1:15 from Liverpool airport down the A483.

What would be a good day for you, I'm in no way in budget for a 2012 but I'm stuck between early r56s and late r53s, and any help differentiating would be great.

Yes it's not a bad drive at all, that times at driving miss daisy speed too

I'm a bit busy this weekend, free mon evening and all day/evening Tuesday then away with work until the 9th apr. If the times work then drop me an email and we'll work something out.

Thanks for all the offers guys. I've been unbelievably busy myself at the moment and don't have much time for anything by work at the moment.

I think I'm settled on an R53 anyway, just waiting for my car to sell so I can go but one!

Thanks for the offers everyone, they have all been appreciated and I will offer the same to anyone else, but not needed anymore. Bought a pre-facelift 2004 r53 this evening... Deposit down, hoping to be on my drive by Sunday!

Had a decent test drive, and was very impressed, finally joining the cooper s club.
