Roof racks on R56 JCW with sunroof?

Does anyone know if it is possible to put roof racks onto a R56 JCW, which has a sunroof?
The dealer is having some difficulty on getting a definitive answer.

and yes, trying to get a car to be a all-in-one.

I have a sun roof on my R56 Clubman. I have the genuine MINI roof bars and roof box and it all fits fine. The sunroof will open with the bars and box installed if you really need it to.....

Thanks Mike, just not sure how different the roof might be on the JCW hatch vs bigger clubman.

I would imagine the mechanism would be the same, so lift the same height above the roof line. I cannot see why the mechanism would have been designed differently?? Obviously the length will be different...

My dealer was also uncertain, but agreed if it did not work they would return it for me. I do have a decent relationship with them - but no harm in asking. (I did have to pay for fitment though to get them to agree to that!)

Since I'm not in the UK, that is an offer that unfortunately won't help me.

But, yes, will wait to hear what the dealer can come back with.

Not sure how different the roof is but I have an R53 with the sunroof and use a rack and roof box.

The dealer appears to have found a set of roof racks for me and confirmed that sunroof + roofracks do work on a Cooper S, so they seem happy with the idea of it all working on a JCW.

So off to test drive tomorrow
