MINI Coupe trim rattles.
Discussion
My wife has recently bought a 1 year old MINI Coupe on which certain road surfaces trigger a rattle/vibration from the trim panel around the drivers sun visor and overhead switch area. Applying a slight pressure to the trim makes the rattle/vibration go away temporarily.
The car has been back to the dealer once to have this rectified but the rattle/vibration has returned.
I thought I might have a look at solving the problem myself but first I'd like to ask whether anyone out there can explain how to remove the trim?
Thanks, Andrew.

Had the same in my R53. Can't advise on yours, but assuming they haven't massively altered the production processes, the headlining is held in place by the grab handles, sun visors & where it meets all the various pillars.
Once you undo all the screws, the lining can be removed. I found that mine had a panel of cardboard glued to the roof & wiring for the rear interior light running the length of the roof. In the end, I placed an old soft bed sheet from my daughter's cot in between the lining & the roof & it cured it.
